Amy Liou (Karagöz puppeteer) is a Taiwanese theater artist currently based in New York City. She started her journey as an actor and continues to create original works with objects and movements. She has studied and trained with many teachers–her approach to theater is heavily influenced by Oleg Liptsin, T. Terzopoulos of Attis Theatre, and SITI Company in New York. She has performed in MoMA, LaMaMa, Dixon Place along with many experimental and non-conventional spaces. She is currently in residence with the Object Movement Puppetry Festival at The Center at West Park.
